Trace (Layered Neck-piece and Feather Wrap)

Abstract

An exhibition of two large printed feather body pieces; one was a layered sculptural neckpiece (40cm approx.) and the other a long thin feather wrap (150cm x 20cm approx.). Both hand printed and hand constructed using stripped feathers, invisible thread, millinery wire and crin. This work continued the research into the material representation of memory personal history through the use of printing onto feathers and textiles.
